In-Detail, a local advertising design studio, has developed a weekly competition website, One Question, for marketers looking for solid brand or product exposure through social media. The simple competition format drives awareness, as it requires entrants to answer a product-related question.

The competition does not send out any emails; to hear about the weekly winner or new competition announcements, users need to follow it on Twitter or like it on Facebook. Entering the online competition is made easy through Facebook and Twitter integration. For those with no social media accounts, a normal email can be used to enter the latest competition.

Every week there is a new competition and new prizes to be won. Visitors need to answer a product related question to qualify for the prize. Answers are multiple-choice and require only one click to enter.

Driving principle

The driving principle behind the concept is to create a central and easy marketing platform for rapid exposure across Facebook and Twitter. As the following grows, so too will the exposure for the advertisers. Although only just launched, the concept has proven popular with rapid uptake and solid following.

The company hopes that advertisers and marketers will make use of the lightweight and fun format to drive product or brand awareness. For more, go to www.onequestion.co.za.
