Clicks2Customers releases Click Fraud Risk Charts and Calculator

Clicks2Customers.com, an incuBeta company, has released a Click Fraud Risk Calculator that can help pay-per-click (PPC) advertisers to assess their click fraud risk.
The Click Fraud Risk Calculator uses an easy-to-complete questionnaire to calculate the PPC advertiser's estimated exposure to click fraud. The advertiser's click fraud risk is classified as "low", "medium" or "high". Interpretation of the risk rating is enhanced by intuitive Click Fraud Risk Charts.

Says incuBeta's Chief Strategy Officer, Vinny Lingham: "The results are pretty intuitive, bordering on obvious, but I think it's nice that we can integrate the risk factors into one tool."

The Click Fraud Charts are based on the following principles:

1. Higher Individual Click Prices lead to higher Click Fraud (CF) risk.
2. Higher Click volumes lead to lower click fraud risk.
3. Higher number of keywords in the terms being bid on lead to lower CF risk.
4. More Active (receiving a click in a given month) keywords lower CF risk.
5. More distribution partners (content targeting, etc), leads to higher CF risk (Google Adwords offers the ability to negative match content partners - very nice, and this will mitigate risk).
6. More competitors on keywords lead to higher CF risk.
7. Higher AVERAGE click prices lead to high CF risk.
8. More countries being added to your campaign, more CF risk.

This questionnaire is used to assist you in determining an advertiser's risk of receiving fraudulent clicks. It is only a guideline, and actual experiences will vary. The results exclude any refunds or credits you may already receive with search engines. Most search engines, such as Google, Overture and Miva, offer strong click fraud protection systems and may already detect click fraud activity that the risk calculator will project in results.
