Chief Operating Officer of Clickthinking, Niel Bornman, accepted a Presidential Award from the Web Analytics Association (WAA) at the recent eMetrics Optimization Summit in San Jose, California.
Outgoing president of the WAA, Alex Langsher, presented Niel with the award to honour his contribution as Chairman of the association's Examination Committee which developed the WAA Web Analyst Certification Program, the first official global certification for web analysts.
Under Niel's leadership, the Examination Committee has made considerable advances and provided trailblazing impetus for the web analytics industry. Over the past three years the committee of global web analysts have created the certification program which has been subjected to rigorous testing and international peer review.
Commenting on the advances made, Niel says, "The necessity for an official web analytics certification arose from the industry's rapid expansion over the past five years. There is a rising demand for skilled web analysts as business practice becomes further entrenched in the online channel, increasing pressure to ensure that money is spent effectively."
Data interpretation lies at the heart of web platform efficiency and central to Clickthinking's digital conversion strategy.
