Digital innovation and an award anyone? digiVOX, a specialist digital media agency, was awarded bronze in the Digital Marketing - Online Media Plans category for their campaign “iBurst: Dial-Up is Dead”, at the 2009 Bookmarks awards ceremony held in Johannesburg on 12 November 2009.
“Winning this award is an honour, and we are truly ecstatic to have our work recognised by both the industry, as well as a highly esteemed judging panel,” commented Andrea Mitchell, founder and Managing Director of digiVOX. “For a small agency which has been in business for just under two years, we consider this a great achievement.”
The OPA, through industry awards events like The Bookmarks, are assisting to entrench digital as a viable marketing medium with which to engage people and see a positive impact as a result.
digiVOX was judged against three main criteria: Creativity, Strategic Value and Return on Investment by an international and local judging panel. The Bookmarks aims to benchmark the best in digital marketing and having run for a second time this year, managed to maintain the very high standards set by last year's awards ceremony.
This is quite an impressive win for an agency that only submitted one entry, and who forged through to the shortlist against some serious contenders, finally taking the honours of bronze, second only to a silver award (no Gold was awarded).
In addition to taking home the Bronze award, digiVOX's Andrea Mitchell made it through to the final list of just three for the title of The Greatest Individual Contribution to Online Media and Marketing. A truly impressive achievement, marking digiVOX as a digital agency to watch in 2010.
