d6 launches www.WhatsOn.co.za, South Africa's most comprehensive events website

Issued by: d6 Media
d6 Media is pleased to announce the launch of What's On, South Africa's newest and most comprehensive entertainment and events website. The site features possibly the largest events database in South Africa, and covers music, cultural, lifestyle, outdoor and community events.
The site is simple and uncluttered, and is extremely easy to use. Just choose your city and the type of event you're looking for. It's dead easy for visitors to plan what they want to do today and on the weekend.

So, if you want to know what's hot and happening, information is just a click away. The site covers the three main urban cities: Cape Town, Johannesburg and Durban. There are plans to extend to service to include other urban centres in the near future.

Whether you're looking for the hottest parties, a laid back evening of good Jazz, or even a fun Sunday family excursion, WhatsOn has something for everyone.

Find out first with What's On!

A bi-weekly newsletter keeps users in touch with events happening in their city, as well as weekly competitions and give-aways. Keeping users updated and coming back for more.

What's On users can send their friends and family events they think are hot and fun at a click of a button. Plus - if you're hosting an event you can add it to the WhatsOn database. A simple web-based submission form makes it easy for everyone to list their events.

Advertising opportunities

The site offers various sponsorship and advertising opportunities. Prime spot is the weekly Featured Event, one for each of the three cities. Recommended events are also displayed prominently, and for the more traditional there are a range of banner advertising opportunities. The newsletter, which has a subscriber base of just over 10,000, also offers valuable advertising space.

What's On's event database has shown a growth of 25% month on month, and the site promises to become the leading event site in South Africa.
