Digital Signage Expo offers seminar programme

The Digital Signage Expo (DSE), the international trade show and educational conference dedicated to digital displays, interactive technology and digital communications networks, will take place 28-31 March 2017 at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas.

Janna Rider, director of digital merchandising for Dairy Queen, will present a session at DSE 2017 entitled, “How to Create Excellent RFIs and RFPs”. This general conference session is part of the Digital Signage Fundamentals Seminar programme at DSE 2017, designed specifically for end users, AV professionals, systems integrators or anyone considering creating a digital communications network.

Presented on 30 March at 9am, this session will explore the RFI/RFP process, including steps in the process and steps that should be taken before entering into an RFP. It is important to find a vendor that fits well with company culture and not one that requires changing the company. The session will also cover the end of the RFP, company selection and contract.

DSE Advisory Board members considered return on investment (ROI) versus return on objective (ROO). “In the corporate world, it can be rather difficult to quantify ROI so ROO is the more important. ROO can be used at multiple levels of your digital signage strategy, from screen placement to content strategy and all the way to message strategy,” says Jennifer Arani, digital signage coordinator, Farmers Insurance Group.

“It depends on what your objective is regarding the digital signage installation. We use our digital signage network to inform customers and guests. Additionally, we use the same signage to sell advertising and sponsorship,” adds Mark Geiger, associate director of marketing & business development, Georgia World Congress.
