Cambrient has developed the website for Neotel, South Africa's second national fixed-line telecommunications operator. The website, www.neotel.co.za, is the online face of the business as it aims to deliver international and national bandwidth directly to large companies. Consumer customers are expected to follow next year.
"We are delighted to have won this contract against some fairly stiff industry competition", says Kevin Lourens, Cambrient CEO. "It's fair to say the whole country's eyes are on Neotel at the moment and Cambrient is dedicated to giving them the kind of online presence they need to position the business in the market."
Neotel's new site states: "Neotel aims to reduce the cost of doing business in South Africa and to extend communications to the second economy. We are focused and flexible, intent on understanding your requirements and delivering services suited to your specific needs. Gradually, our service portfolio will grow to include basic voice, data, Internet, virtual private networks, network management and hosting services, although we currently offer international voice and data transit services for other telecoms providers."
Cambrient is a Web development, content management and marketing resource management business aimed at marketers and the marketing industry in particular.
It won the business alongside Enterprise IG, one of South Africa's premier design agencies. Enterprise IG is designing the Neotel brand.
"We are committed to being the technology partner for design agencies like Enterprise, and we are really excited to be building this site with them," says Lourens.
Neotel launched the business on Thursday, August 31, at a ceremony in Kyalami and the website was unveiled by the Minister of Communications, Dr. Ivy Matsepe-Casaburri.
Cambrient has developed websites for other local companies, including Appletiser, Bond Exchange of South Africa, Atterbury Properties, Pick 'n Pay and Young & Rubicam, among others.
