Pollen launched its digital division, Apiary, in 2010 and focusses on the development and delivery of digital and mobile content.
This includes the production of augmented reality, social media, mobile and desktop applications, robust CMS governed responsive websites and digital content channels.
"Clients prefer to work with specialists", explains group creative director Graeme Carr, "and even though a lot of what Pollen produces lives in the digital space already, our strategy is to place the development of digital content under a specialised division."
"With digital content and development, the saying goes "you live in beta". This means that because the projects and platforms are always evolving and updating, the digital model needs to be approached differently from the animation and live action content models.
Recently, Apiary produced an online brand repository for long-time client Nando's Worldwide Licensing. This tool allows Nando's to manage all its design assets in and around a restaurant, across their territories worldwide, using a secure, mobile-ready tool.
With more exciting projects in the pipeline, Apiary is set to develop into a real contender in the digital content space.
