Save the date: Heavy Chef to host Reg Lascaris in Cape Town on 16 September

On Thursday, 22 May, digital agency World Wide Creative and GIBS in Jo'burg, hosted another Heavy Chef event featuring legendary adman, Reg Lascaris - and the audience of marketers and digital natives were riveted.
Sharing insights from his latest bestseller, Lessons From The Boot Of A Car, his talk in Jo'burg covered principles of entrepreneurial success, as well as simple keys to personal and professional development like:
  • Set big, bold goals
  • Culture eats strategy for breakfast
  • Be a tough-minded optimist
  • "Silent" and "listen" contain the same letters
  • The concerns of the nation should be the concerns of the corporation
The response to Reg's talk on social media was phenomenal, with Heavy Chef guests driving #heavychef to a top trending topic on Twitter during the event.

Now, Heavy Chef is set to host another inspiring event featuring Reg Lascaris on 16 September 2014 in Cape Town.

What is Heavy Chef all about?

As an initiative of digital marketing agency World Wide Creative, the Heavy Chef project is a platform for practical learning - where South Africa's digital community collaborates, shares ideas and discusses the latest web marketing news. The name comes from the expression "Never trust a skinny chef" and our aim to learn from Heavy Chefs - in other words, those rare folk who eat their own food, walk the talk and practice what they preach.

Heavy Chef is sponsored by: Backsberg Wines, Mobile Marketing Association, Exclusive Books, Nokia, GIBS, Channel Mobile and Conde Nast.
