Liquid Lemon connects Mr Price Home Online Shopping launch with social media

The Mr Price Home online shopping platform launch, which was recently held in Durban at the Quays on Timeball, was a huge success. Liquid lemon was called upon to help connect their event with social media.
Two RFID social sharing swipe stations were used as well as a roaming photographer, who had an RFID scanner attached and when activated with the guests' tag automatically uploaded the photo to the Mr Price Home Facebook page as well as the users own Facebook page, making this event come alive in the social space.

Guests were treated to a spectacular show of 3D mapping, three-dimensional screens and RFID tagging, a real digital showcase. A list of invited VIP guests and media were given special RFID-enabled tags. These tags were then registered to the guest's own Facebook profile thereby allowing real-time updates of the launch to be broadcast through the guest's social network profiles, sharing the experience with those not at the event.

When considering that the typical South African Facebook user has an average of approximately 145 friends, and there were 125 invited guests, the potential online audience was approximately 18,125 who would have been exposed to the Mr Price Home RFID branded photos - an awesome branding achievement from the evening!
