NEWSWATCH: The Limpopo provincial government is recruiting journalists to communicate with the media and the public, reports Sunday World, which also reports that the SABC said No! to sports anchor Robert Marawa being MC for the 2010 FIFA World Cup draw in Cape Town on Friday, 4 December 2009. Meanwhile, the ASA has told Two Oceans to change its “misleading” advertising material claiming that the company's wines originate from Cape Point, reports IOL.

Sunday World:Government co-opts journos - as motormouths… It is claimed Limpopo's provincial government and at least one municipality are busy turning news hacks into spin doctors.
Sunday World: Persona non grata… Not tonight, Robert, it's Manana… SABC didn't want Supersport and Metro FM sports anchor Robert Marawa to MC Friday night's 2010 draw because he's working for the opposition. Carol Manana got the job in the end.
IOL: Wine firm's claims are beyond the Point… Two Oceans is in hot water over ‘misleading' advertising following a complaint from Cape Point Vineyards over the former's advertising material claiming its wines come from Cape Point. Which they don't.
I am certain the old time topic on whether journo's make good PR's is soon to start again. The list provided in the published article is prove that Limpopo is working hard to cover its tracks. Who doesnt know how critical the likes of Selby, Wisani & Clayson were on the Limpopo government.
One can see that since these group of journos have joined the public sector, Limpopo has been receiving good write-up's. For now good luck to journos turned motormouths. Posted on 7 Dec 2009 15:44
