NEWSWATCH: If former board member Peter Vundla is to be believed, there seems to be a great deal wrong with the SABC… it's dysfunctional, its structure is wrong, there appears to be a touch of schizophrenia - and it has more managers than you can count, reports IOL. Meanwhile, there are “Revolutionary mutterings at SABC”, reports Grubstreet.co.za, and Ray Hartley's blog on The Times reports on the plane that crashed on a bakkie.
It's too bad a level-headed character like this has left. It stands to reason tho. The man is competent and professional. Birds of a feather I suppose. Posted on 8 Jun 2009 09:51
The only problem with the SABC is that since Mbeki was defeated in Polokwane in 2007, there hasn't been a master for the SABC to serve. Let's see if that changes in the next few months. Posted on 8 Jun 2009 15:45
All the answers aren't there because people maybe afraid to speak against those who are running the show. The mood amongst staff members isn't good and quite frankly something has to be done. If the work force are not happy and there are mutterings in the hallways and corridors, about what's happening because of those in the power, then I'm afraid Mr Vundla is right in saying that needs to be a reshuffle from top to bottom! Have everyone resign and have them re-apply for their position's. It sounds easier said than done I know, but perhaps drastic measures need to be taken during desparate times, and if I don't say so myself, this is the time! Posted on 9 Jun 2009 06:40
