Distinguished panelists included Trevor Manuel, Michael Teke, Richard Gush and Annabel Bishop
On 26 March 2014, BBC.com hosted a roundtable discussion at the Saxon Hotel in Johannesburg. One of the BBC's most acclaimed broadcasters and anchors, Zeinab Badawi, guided the panel of esteemed speakers through a discussion on South Africa's membership of BRICS. Speakers included Richard Gush (CEO of Merrill Lynch and Bank of America), Trevor Manuel (Minister in the Presidency: National Planning Commission), Michael Teke (President of the Chamber of Mines) and Annabel Bishop (Group Economist at Investec).
The intimate guest list for the evening included some of South Africa's most brilliant minds and eminent industry leaders, and fuelled important debates around the promotion of trade and inclusive growth for our nation. The event was a huge success, and testament to the BBC's ongoing commitment to deliver high quality content to its audiences worldwide.
