Top Gear Live back at the dome at Northgate

Top Gear Live will be returning to Joburg from 12 to 14 June, 2015, to its original home: the dome at Northgate. It's been four years since the motoring extravaganza last performed in Gauteng.

Fronted by Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May, Top Gear Live brings to life the massively popular BBC Entertainment TV programme. Featuring breathtaking stunts, some of the world's most incredible cars and the usual calamitous mucking about, the Top Gear Live show has become a global phenomenon.

Joburg was the first city in which the live show was staged outside of the UK back in 2008. Following the huge success of these shows this new approach to motoring theatre went on to travel the world. To date, Top Gear Live events have now played to over 2 million fans in 25 countries. James Cooke-Priest, COO of Top Gear Live said: "South Africa has always been one of our favourite destinations on the tour, not least because they were the first fans outside of the UK to welcome our Top Gear Live show so enthusiastically. They return year after year to support us and remain some of the most enthusiastic, not to mention the loudest, fans we experience worldwide." He continued: "We're delighted to be able to bring Top Gear Live back to the dome and have been overwhelmed by the support from previous partners, sponsors and ticket holders alike who have also welcomed the news."

Never-before-seen sequences

The action-packed 90-minute arena show will include exclusive, never-before-seen sequences as well as some firm fan favourites from their last 10 years of international touring. Top Gear fans can expect to see lots of fire, tyre smoke, some ridiculous stunts and a healthy dose of competitive spirit between Jeremy, Richard and James.

Tickets will be on sale from 20 March. For more information on Top Gear Live, go to www.topgearlive.com/za or call +27 (0)31 303 9177.
