As one of its contributions to its corporate social outreach beneficiary, Hugh's Haven, Draftfcb Johannesburg has designed a Christmas-themed wrapping paper to encourage South Africans to participate in a toy drive for the child care centre.
It has also asked
The Citizen to print the wrapping paper - as an advertisement - in two editions leading up to the annual Christmas party the agency organises for the children.
The text at the bottom of the page asks readers to cut out the paper and use it to wrap a toy before dropping it off at the Game outlet at Cresta Shopping Centre.
As part of its corporate social outreach programme, Draftfcb Johannesburg ‘adopted' Hugh's Haven several years ago. A childcare centre providing approximately 80 pre-school children from financially and socially disadvantaged backgrounds with a safe, constructive and educational environment during the day, Hugh's Haven also provides an after-school care facility for older children in the Yeoville area.
Not only does Draftfcb Johannesburg contribute financially to the daily expenses of running the centre, the staff assists with maintenance of the building, running Art Days for the children and taking them on regular outings.
If you'd like to recognise their efforts, buy The Citizen on 17 or 24 November to get your hands on the wrapping paper and drop off a toy at Game - or at Draftfcb South Africa's offices at Pinmill Office Park, Katherine Street, Sandown. Connie or Gwen will be delighted to see you.
