Schalit recently landed in Malaysia to judge at the Kancil Awards (equivalent to our Loerie Awards) and to deliver two talks to BBDO Asia. Just a stone's throw away, south in Singapore, is Schalit's one-time protégé, Watt, who has taken over the creative reigns at Net#work. He is judging the inaugural Asia Outdoor Advertising awards (AOA) which honours excellence in the creative use of outdoor media and elevates the standard and consciousness of the medium.

Commenting from Singapore this week, Watt says he is impressed with the level of the work presented to the panel. “It is world-class and ranges from great classical outdoor posters to amazing technology linked to the Internet. Outdoor is an amazing medium as it can really make use of the technology leap that's occurred in the past 10 years.”

Together with Cannes and Clios, this is the third major international awards show Watt has been invited to judge this year.
