"Never forget how wonderful freedom feels"

Slim of Egg Films has crafted a poignant commercial for FNB and MetropolitanRepublic that captures what it means to South Africans to be celebrating twenty years of democracy.
As a nation that experienced mixed emotions going to the polls, one can now take a step back and think about what it means for all races, creeds and colours in our country to have achieved this milestone. The memorable moments of a grandmother reflecting on the day she could finally vote, reminds one of the responsibility that we all have to honour the hopes and dreams that so many fought for twenty years ago.

Through emotive visuals delivered with subtlety, Slim reveals a heartfelt but honestly told narrative. We are all reminded that this is a celebration of personal freedom and not political freedom.
