Johannesburg-based agency, Volcano, has won the AdReview New Business Award 2014. This is the first time that a new business category has featured in the popular AdReview awards, with Volcano up against agencies Home of the Brave, MetropolitanRepublic, Joe Public and Ireland/Davenport. AdReview established the shortlist based on the number and quality of new business accounts won during the past year.
The win comes hot on the heels of a stellar 2013 for Volcano, which saw the agency take part in 28 pitches, winning 25 of them. New business wins include a long-term project to reposition Consol Glass within the main market segment. In addition, Volcano took top honours in a 40-way pitch, winning the CSIR account.
