SA Youth flavour on latest Mama Dance! Music Library DVD
Issued by: Mama Dance! Music Solutions

Due to a huge demand for fresh South African Urban music for TV ads, sports shows and youth television programming, the team at Mama Dance! Music Library went on a major hunt to source fresh new hip-hop, kwaito, house and afro-pop tracks from hot young South African music producers.

“Although we have plenty of other South African genres on the library, we are always proud of how popular our urban flavour releases continue to be. For example the first ever Mama Dance! Music Library CD is called KwaitoHouse MDML001 and after eight years it's still used extensively in SABC, e.tv and M-Net programming. In fact we licensed a track from it to a Nando's TV ad a few months ago,” says Craig McGahey, owner of Mama Dance! Music Solutions.

“What makes the Mama Dance! Music Library so popular is that our sound is the real deal. All our urban releases are produced by composers who work within the South African kwaito, hip-hop and afro-pop scene - they work with the country's biggest hip-hop, kwaito and afro-pop groups such as H2O, Proverb, TKZee, KB, Black Noise and Slikour (Skwatta Kamp) as well as producing instrumentals for the library. The resulting sound is quite different from other music libraries where professional 'mood music' composers often deliver a weak interpretation of South African Urban music.”

The two latest releases on the Mama Dance! Music Library DVD are XTRA Large Urban and Soundz Ekasi (vol 16 and 17) Together they contain 114 brand new hip-hop, kwaito, R&B, afro-pop and house tracks that are guaranteed to move the South African youth market.

Last year saw the release of D'Stars' very sexy, very funky PUMP'n Time (vol 13) which contains 30 slickly produced afro-disco, pop, R&B and house tracks.

Ghetto Grown Hip Hop (vol 5) and KwaitoHouse (vol 1) are also included on the latest Mama Dance! Music Library DVD which contains high res MP3's of over 800 tracks from all 17 CD releases. (Listen to all 17 releases on line at http://www.mamadance.com/music-library.html.)

The Mama Dance! Music Library is NORM affiliated and can therefore be used under SABC, M-Net, SuperSport and e.tv blanket licenses although usage licenses must be obtained for corporate vids, international broadcasts, web pages, on-hold telephone systems, presentation DVDs, etc...
