Emiley's career was seeded in the rich soil of an international arts education. She has a collection of diplomas in Film Making from The Julliard School in New York, Animation Arts from SAE International, Multimedia Design from the Faschocschule in Germany and an MFA from the Mallorca Film Academy in Spain. Emiley opened the first Evo Media office in Germany in 2002, after buying the visual communications department of Visualis. The small company's overnight success drove its expansion into Spain, London and South Africa.

As a young dynamic black woman making her mark in international media, Emiley is the perfect role model for new South African filmmakers. Her presence at the Cape Film Commission can only help to promote the Western Cape as a competitive film destination.
