New Launch/Relaunch

To accommodate recently launched magazines which were unable to enter last year's Pica Awards because they did not yet have their ABC certificates and fall outside the period of consideration for the 2008 Awards, the relevant entry rule have been adjusted as follows: Recently launched magazines may now enter the 2008 New Launch/Relaunch category, provided their first ABC certificate was received with respect to the periods starting 1 October 2006 and ending 30 June 2008 - and provided their first issue was launched after 30 September 2006 and they did not enter the 2007 Pica Awards. Magazines submitted for judging must carry a cover date from 1 July 2007 to 30 June 2008. This adjustment of the rule does not apply to relaunched magazines.

Online Solution

A provisional ABC member may enter a website (provided it is an extension of the print magazine that is a provisional member) in the 2008 Online Solution category. All other entry rules apply.
