MorrisJones and Frieze Film's Leigh Ogilvie have collaborated on a new television commercial for Wimpy.
Devised by the MorrisJones team of Angel Jones and Trevallyn Hall, the commercial is called ‘Kids'. It was shot on 16mm film using two cameras and was a logistically interesting shoot involving 21 kids busting moves on a bus through the busy streets and highways of Johannesburg.
Hall says: “Leigh certainly proved that she has the ‘stuff' when it comes to innovation and flexibility, and I strongly believe this shows in this latest commercial. We also proved that we need never have even considered bringing in an international dancer to set the pace for the ad. The local dancers auditioned by her and Frieze Films were great, and show that we have a deep pool of local talent just waiting for the opportunity to shine. The process was a great collaboration and it shows is the end result.”
