A unique programme for maximising marketing success and profitability will be offered by USB Executive Development Ltd (USB-ED) at the University of Stellenbosch Business School from 9 to 11 June 2008.
Intended for marketing, brand and key account managers, the Programme in Managing Marketing Assets, will focus on a systems approach, which emphasises the multidimensionality and interrelatedness of entities and activities. This new approach demarcates management tasks and responsibilities for marketing, and simplifies the measurement of marketing success.
Some of the themes that will be covered include: towards a new model of marketing management, where marketing fits into the organisation, managing brands, branding, corporate image and reputation, branding terminology, brand identity and brand architecture, brand equity, creating and measuring brand value, managing the customer asset, the customer satisfaction system, including blueprinting and flowcharting, service goals and standards and managing demand.
Learning outcomes are: understanding the principles, practices and terminology of branding, strategic alliances, customer service excellence and marketing capability. Understanding the elements involved in integrating marketing assets into a new marketing management and planning philosophy in an organisation. Understand the dynamics involved in the management and planning of marketing assets. Implement the integrated philosophy into new marketing strategies, plans and structures to be set up for their achievement.
Tuition fees are R6 900 which cover programme fees, programme material, stationery, lunch and refreshments, and are payable before the commencement of the programme.
Dr Kosie de Villiers, an expert on all aspects of marketing, business strategy, alliance management, international relations, leadership and general management will be the main facilitator on the programme.
