    Fuel scarcity hits Lagos

    Major Oil Marketers Association of Nigeria (Moman) and Depot and Petroleum Product Marketers Association (Dappma) have initiated intensive negotiation with key officials of the National Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas (Nupeng) workers over the return of fuel queues in Lagos.

    This is to ensure that they call off the one-day industrial action initiated by the union to protest indiscriminate arrest of tankers on Lagos roads by the Lagos State Government (LASG). Petrol attendants took opportunity of the strike by selling fuel to motorists in the night mainly into jerry cans. Most stations visited yesterday did not sell fuel while four litres of premium motor spirit (PMS) attracted N1000.
