Loeries exhibition to visit Namibia

The aim of the exhibition is to inspire creativity and educate students about the creative industry as a career path.

"DV8 Saatchi & Saatchi are delighted to be hosting the Loeries Travelling Exhibition again at our offices in Windhoek, Namibia, and look forward to welcoming members of the brand communication fraternity as well as the interested public to this display," says Mark Bongers, MD of DV8.

"As The Loerie Awards are now open to all of Africa and the Middle East, it's important for countries outside of South Africa to be exposed to the different and innovative types of brand communication that are winning awards, an inspiration and great motivator to stretch the boundaries," says Bongers.

The SABC is the sole sponsor of the Travelling Exhibition. The two organisations aim to encourage and inspire creativity in South Africa, and further afield as well. "The Loerie Awards are a mechanism for inspiration in South Africa and beyond our borders," says Kaizer Kganyago, SABC spokesperson, "We feel that the Travellling Exhibition in particular is a fantastic tool to show people that the creative industry is an appealing career path and that true excellence is recognised and supported."

Entries to the 31st Annual Loerie Awards are now open to agencies from Africa, the Middle East and surrounding island regions. The entry deadline for submissions is 15 May 2009.
