Vodka brand ranked world's most powerful
By: Carole Kimutai

Over 40 quality checks and a unique distillation system pays off for Smirnoff.

Intangible Business – an independent brand valuation consultancy – has ranked Smirnoff the most powerful spirit brand in the world.

The survey of drinking brands conducted by Intangible Business evaluated and ranked the top 100 most powerful spirits and wine brands on different categories and Russia's spirit came in tops.

Smirnoff also carries the international impervious presence ranked first in relevance with the roll-out of flavoured drinks, which has gained them advantage in the spirits industry.

Since its inception in the 18th century, the Smirnoff brand has kept a long legacy. In March 2006, it was rated the best selling vodka and the best selling premium distilled spirit in the world.

The brand is currently distributed in 130 countries on six continents.
