Sowetan introduces jobs online
Sowetan, one of South Africa's biggest daily newspapers, launches jobs online, powered by CareerJunction, SA's leading online placement service.

The partnership means that CareerJunction will be powering Sowetan's Jobs Online facility and will provide the Sowetan website with functionality to allow visitors to the website to search for jobs, create and update an online resume, automate job alerts and read up on career related articles and advice.

The Sowetan newspaper has a readership of 1.6 million and a circulation of 124,000. The Sowetan launched their brand new website in October 2005 to extend their popular newspaper brand to the online market - www.sowetan.com.

CareerJunction launched in 1997 and has grown from strength to strength with each passing year. According to ACNielsen/ NetRatings statistics, CareerJunction is consistently ranked as one of the most visited websites in the country, with over 200,000 unique visitors and over 8 million page impressions generated on the site per month. In addition, CareerJunction has over 20,000 jobs advertised per month and more than 420,000 registered CareerSeekers.
