Depth VFX produces commercials for international brand, Microsoft Mobile
One of SA's leading animation and visual effects specialists, Depth VFX, recently won and produced a series of HTC commercials for local agency, the Ad Cafe.

HTC is an international sub-brand of Orange, the well-established European Telecommunications Company. HTC is offering the first true range of Windows Mobile phones to the South African market, which is being distributed locally by Leaf Technologies.

The Ad Café approached Depth VFX to produce all the animated commercials for the original and funky new phone range. Depth VFX has been heavily involved in the entire process, from conceptualisation of the commercials right through to finished product, including character development as well as script writing.

The first of three commercials currently flighting on television stations introduces the theme of aliens abducting technology from Earth, and panicking after seeing the advancements that HTC has made available in it's range of products.

The first phones to be introduced to the market are the Tytn, Mteor, and Oxgn, pronounced Titan, Meteor and Oxygen.
